This client wanted a snowman terrorizing little snowmen. I asked to give my shot at the design and he liked the layout. I wanted to have a this huge snowman roaring down on a group of helpless little snowmen fleeing for their life. Even though it seems their direction is to be heading into the fire. There is freehand work throughout the whole design. All original work with no reference. Had a blast with this piece.
This client was a visiting Korean with no experience with the English language. Fortunately, Biagio had a gargoyle in his portfolio in which he was able to point out what he wanted to cover his start of a tattoo. Biagio created this original design by freehanding with marker on the skin and then tattooing it. About 6 hours.
This is a piece Biagio free-formed designed for Austin of the band "Black Tide". Austin wanted some bio-organic work with a zombie-like feel to represent Man#39;s desire being the root of all evil. Biagio freehanded the design to portray the eye of a man, turning evil, looking at the object of his desire, a woman, that transitions into a zombie showing off the result of the desire. This is the beginning of a whole sleeve that represent the theme of Man#39;s desire is the root of all evil.
My client gave me the challenge to tie his arm tattoo with his kanji on his opposite shoulder with a dragon crawling. Thought I would maximize the space in order to not comprimise the look of the dragon. The difficulty was in getting a 3-dimensional dragon to not look awkward transitioning from the back to the arm. I decided to keep the heaviness of the piece on the back of the body, back of arm, to help the transition. All aspects are completely from my head with no reference. Getting to do work like this makes what I do an absolute pleasure.
